Introduction

Bidayuh, Bau is a language of Malaysia. It is spoken in Sarawak, Bau, 1st Division, Sadong, Samarahan, and Lundu rivers. About 50 villages. .

Dialects

Assem, Dongay, Empawa, Grogo (Grogoh), Gumbang, Krokong, Serambau (Serambo, Serambu), Singai (Bisingai, Singgai, Singgi, Singgie, Singhi), Stenggang Jagoi, Suti, Taup (Tahup), Tengoh. Gumbang may be more closely related to Tringgus-Sembaan (See: Bidayuh, Tringgus-Sembaan?). Lexical similarity: 69% with Bukar Sadong (See: Bidayuh, Bukar-Sadong?), 53% between Bukar Sadong and Singai dialect.
