Introduction
The Proto-Italic language is the ancestor of the Italic languages. The Italic peoples began their descent into the Italian peninsula around the 2nd millenium B.C. Two subgroups developed from Proto-Italic -- Sabellic and Latino-Faliscan.
Proto-Italic Verb
*ored(h)- (“to arrange”). Related to Latin ōrdior (“begin”, literally “begin to weave”).
